COAST AREA DESCRIPTION
The City of Palm Coast is located in the northeastern section of Florida, almost midway between St. Augustine and
Daytona Beach . Established in 1970, the area is a completely balanced residential and light industrial community comprising over 42,000 acres.
The temperature averages 71.4 degrees and residents enjoy three seasons: spring, summer and fall…an ideal climate for a host of year round activities.
Do you like touring? Disney World, Epcot, Universal Studios and Sea World are only 90 minutes away in Orlando, or visit the historic sites of
St. Augustine , approximately 35 minutes north. The
Kennedy
Space
Center is just over an hour away.
There are seven championship 18-hole golf courses in
Palm
Coast . They have been designed by some of golf’s legends: Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Tom Fazio and Jack Nicklaus. You may build your home on any one of these courses.

Atlantic Ocean . Some of the finest beaches are located just minutes from your door. If you like fishing or boating, the Intracoastal Waterway passes right through

Coast . The prestigious Hammock Dunes and Sea Colony communities are located right on the

There are gorgeous waterways located within
Palm
Coast . Many residents have built homes on the lakes, streams and saltwater canals, which make up a large part of this lovely area. You can dock your boat right in your backyard…with access to the
Intracoastal Waterway from all saltwater canal lots.
If you like tennis, there are several facilities in Palm Coast, including the renowned Palm Coast Players Club, with 18 tennis courts (hard, clay and grass). Professional players often come to practice and prepare for tournaments.
Houses of worship for all religious denominations are within easy driving distance. Six shopping centers are located in
Palm
Coast with anchor stores that include Bealls, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Publix, Winn Dixie and Albertsons. Additional shopping is an easy drive to Daytona Beach, St. Augustine and
Jacksonville .
For those who wish to further their education, there is an extension campus of the
Daytona Beach
Community College located right in
Palm
Coast . Other colleges and universities are nearby.
